Guidelines & Rules

Nurse Mode is a place to think out loud, ask the question you are embarrassed to ask, and grow into the nurse your patients will be lucky to have. These are the rules that keep it that way.

Kindness is the default

·Every person here is someone's future nurse. There is no such thing as a stupid question in this community.
·No shaming, no eye-rolling, no "you should already know this." If you cannot say it kindly, do not say it.
·Celebrate other people's wins, especially the small ones.

Protect patient privacy

·Never share a patient's name, room number, date of birth, photo, or any detail that could identify them. Not in a post, not in a comment, not in a photo of your notes.
·Even a funny story from clinical can be a HIPAA violation. Change the details or keep it hypothetical.
·When in doubt, leave it out.

We teach reasoning, not medical advice

·Nurse Mode is education. Nothing here is a diagnosis or treatment plan for a real person.
·If you are unsure about a real patient in front of you, follow your facility policy and ask your instructor or preceptor.
·The AI co-hosts give you study guidance from real clinical knowledge. They are not a substitute for your instructor.

Keep your academic integrity

·Never share live NCLEX questions, protected exam content, or anything you agreed not to disclose.
·Practice questions that you or the Nurse Mode team write yourself are always welcome.
·Studying together is encouraged. Sharing answers to someone's graded exam is not.

No selling, no spam

·No MLM pitches, recruiting, referral links, or promoting other courses and tutoring services.
·No copy-pasted content from other groups.
·If you have something genuinely useful, share the idea, not a sales funnel.

Post in the right place

·Pick the category that fits: Questions & Help, Wins & Milestones, Study Motivation, Announcements, Introductions, or General.
·Keep private conversations in Messages instead of the public feed.
·Announcements are for the Nurse Mode team. Everyone else, use the other categories.

Give credit where it is due

·Cite the source when you share a study tool, article, image, or video that is not yours.
·Do not repost another member's words as your own.

How we keep this place safe

·Nurse Angie and the Nurse Mode team can remove a post or comment that breaks these rules.
·Repeated or serious violations can end your access to the community.
·If something feels wrong, message Nurse Angie privately. We read every one.
